CSE Speaker Series – Robert Chesebrough
On Friday, April 15, from 11:00-12:00 in Cramer 221, Robert Chesebrough from Intel will discuss towards application of data science and machine learning to software product improvement data at Intel.
Abstract: This talk will focus on our application of clustering, classification and other methods to help improve Intel software products. We will explore patterns seen in tool features compared to crash data as well as aggregate user behaviors which might predict crashes, tool adoption, feature usage, etc. The talk may touch on some of the text analytics tasks we are trying to analyze user forum data to extract topics and detect common problem areas among a large number of software tools. We will also briefly describe some of the software tools and libraries that Intel is bringing to market to help speed up data analytics.
